New CySA+ V4 Course: What the CS0-004 Track Covers
TheCertCoach now has a complete preparation track for CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst V4, exam code CS0-004. It is built for people moving from broad security foundations into the day-to-day decisions of a security-operations or vulnerability analyst.
The track follows CompTIA’s four-domain CS0-004 objectives, with 61 lessons and reviews, four free preview lessons, and a 150-question practice bank. The material is available from the CySA+ V4 course page.
The Current CySA+ V4 Exam
CompTIA launched the CS0-004 exam on June 23, 2026. It contains up to 85 multiple-choice and performance-based questions, allows 165 minutes, and uses a passing score of 750 on a 100–900 scale.
CompTIA recommends approximately four years of hands-on experience at the SOC analyst level 2 or vulnerability analyst level. That is a recommendation, not a Security+ prerequisite.

The Four Domains and Their Weights

The practice bank preserves those weights. In the full 150-question bank, that produces 51 Domain 1 questions, 39 Domain 2 questions, 36 Domain 3 questions, and 24 Domain 4 questions.
What Is in the Course
The 61 course items break down into:
- 44 teaching modules that explain and apply the published objectives.
- 13 section reviews that revisit related topics before the learner moves on.
- 4 domain capstones that integrate decisions across each domain.
Each domain begins with a free preview lesson. Those previews are Module 1 for Security Operations, Module 19 for Vulnerability Management, Module 32 for Incident Response and Management, and Module 41 for Reporting and Communication.
The complete 150-question CySA+ practice bank is also available without payment. Learners can choose shorter sets; the selection logic preserves the official domain proportions instead of taking an unweighted slice of the bank.
Security+ or CySA+ First?
Security+ provides the broader foundation: threats, architecture, security operations, identity, cryptography, governance, and related fundamentals. CySA+ assumes that foundation and goes deeper into analyst work: interpreting evidence, prioritizing what to fix, coordinating an incident, and communicating the result.
Choose CySA+ when analyst depth is the next step in your work or career plan. Choose Security+ first when you still need the broader baseline.
